AAUW of Ohio, an organization that advocates for public education and women’s issues, has released its scoring of pertinent bills passed by the Ohio Legislature during the past biennium.
The bills are sub-divided into the areas of public education, reproductive freedom and voting/civil rights. Ten Senate and 11 House bills are outlined and scored and the results are posted on its website at: http://aauwoh.org/aauwoh/advocacy/public-policy/aauw-ohio-voting-record/.
“We felt it was important to carry out this project because much of what state legislature’s do often goes under the radar,” said Jackie Evangelista, AAUW Ohio public policy chair. “We hope women will check out our findings and pass them on to other women.”
