Dear AAUW Ohio Presidents, Public Policy Chairs and Newsletter Editors:

I said in my last brief e-newsletter that you probably would not hear from me again until after the holidays due to family health issues. Since then, my youngest sister has passed, and we had a funeral, while the other is holding her own for the time being.  So I have the time to share some post-election thoughts.  If the election told us anything, it should be that standing up for women is worth the time and effort as we made many advances in this election. I would encourage you to forward this e-mail to your members and/or publish all or parts of it in your branch newsletter. In case you are wondering, I would like to report that AAUW has informed us that we should be referring to our state level organization as AAUW of Ohio.  So I have tried to do that although I may slip up once in awhile.
