YWCA invites us to attend What Women Want 2012
AAUW of Ohio members are invited to attend a women-only town hall in Cincinnati: What Women Want 2012 Town Meeting on
Sept. 29 that is sponsored by the YWCA.
This will be an interactive, non-partisan, and engaging town meeting with women voters to gauge women’s top issues in the 2012 Presidential Election.
AmericaSpeaks will partner to organize and conduct the Town Meeting, which will encourage participants to discuss important issues to women and vote on priorities that matter to them. Some of the key topics that will be discussed included jobs and the economy, health care and civil rights.
Elected officials like Senator Sherrod Brown and Candidate-hopeful Josh Mandel will be sending representatives. The YWCA will pass on the results of the meeting to officials in Washington, DC.
Attendance is free, and lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day. The YWCA will send live updates the day of the event via social networks and gathering questions and responses for the town meeting, at the hashtag #ywTownMtg.
