AAUW Fellow studying in Cleveland
Rabelani Makwarela from South Africa is the latest International Fellow and recipient of AAUW Funds enabling her to pursue her master’s degree in Cleveland. She is working towards a degree at Cleveland State University in nonprofit administration and leadership.
Makwarela has worked as a youth programs facilitator and has assisted immigrant youth with integration. After completing her studies, she would like to be engaged in work and research that promotes access to health services and education in her home country. She wants to identify and implement solutions to issues that intricately blend her current experience within the nonprofit sector and her academic background in science.
Heights-Hillcrest-Lyndhurst Branch has invited Rabe to attend its meetings, and the branch shared this information with us to post on our website.
